Job Summary: Responsible for performing tasks associated with the operation of concessions including taking orders, maintaining cleanliness, accurately handling money, and restocking inventory.
Job Duties:
- Performs work and tasks associated with the operation of the Concessions
- Must be courteous and helpful to the public and take and fill orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Must maintain at all times the highest standard of personal hygiene and cleanliness
- If assigned to clean equipment and utensils must maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout operation of Concessions
- If assigned to cook and prepare food, must maintain the highest standard of cleanliness through the process and operate equipment in a safe manner
- Must accurately count, receive, and make change for monies received
- Must maintain all counters and serving surfaces in the highest standard of cleanliness during operations of Concessions
- Keep inventory current by rotating stock and restocking
- Helps ensure that floors and preparation area maintained in the highest standard of cleanliness and free of debris and spills to ensure safety of the workers
- Assists in cleaning of food preparation and serving area at the time the Concessions area may be closed and not in service
- Ensures that rest rooms are clean
- Other duties as deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the Recreation Department
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Some previous work experience in customer focused or fast-food environment preferred
- Valid Driver’s License required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to understand verbal instructions and complete work orders as assigned
- Ability to help the public in a courteous and pleasing manner
- Able to work efficiently and complete tasks and projects with frequent interruptions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time without difficulty
- Ability lift heavy equipment
- Able to work effectively in a teamwork environment
