Catoosa County Launches New Platform for Open Records Requests

Software upgrade enhances efficiency and transparency

Post Date:12/04/2025

Catoosa County Government is making it easier for people to request and get open records in accordance with Georgia law by launching an enhanced self-service portal on the County’s website, catoosacountyga.gov.

The GovQA software is a centralized, secure public records portal that allows residents to track their open records requests online and standardizes workflows for County employees. Self-serve tools and auto-follow functions will make it easy to proactively share information. An online intake form refines requests and reduces the need for clarification and delivers improved accuracy. The system reduces paperwork and frees up staff time to work on other important County business.

“The Board of Commissioners adopting GovQA reflects a clear commitment to open government, providing residents with reliable tools to access records quickly and transparently,” said Catoosa County Clerk Melissa Hannah.

The Catoosa County open records portal will require citizens to create their own account with the ability to track and monitor open records requests. All communication from the County will be sent directly to citizens’ email accounts. Open records are available from Catoosa County Government, Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office, and Catoosa County Courts.
