Catoosa County SPLOST Funds & Expenditures for 2009, 2014, and 2019 Cycles

Ringgold, GA (March 28, 2024) – Catoosa County Chief Financial Officer Rachel Clark reports the fund balance and expenditures of the SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) 2009, 2014, and 2019 cycles, including Fiscal Year 2023 updates of approved projects for public infrastructure, public safety, public buildings, and facilities.

For the 2009 SPLOST cycle, an estimated collection of $47,683,592 is posted with $47,588,271 in expenditures, leaving an estimated balance of $95,321.2009 SPLOST FY2023 Newspaper Ad

For the 2014 SPLOST cycle, an estimated collection of $54,549,979 is posted with $51,473,771 in expenditures, leaving an estimated balance of $3,076,208.2014 SPLOST FY2023 Newspaper Ad

“Remaining SPLOST funds are the result of the time-consuming process of completing major capital projects,” said Clark. “Projects like paving and the purchase of vehicles such as fire engines require a public bidding process, and the timeline for receiving approved goods and services, and therefore final payment, is also affected by ongoing supply chain and labor issues.”
